Two men were shot in Riverbank on Tuesday night, and were hospitalized with with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to Stanislaus County Undersheriff Bill Heyne.
Deputies responded to reports of shots fired at 10:40 p.m. to the a house in the 3700 block of Kentucky.
When they arrived, they found the victims, one shot in the thigh and the other in the buttocks. One was taken to Oak Valley Hospital and the other to Memorial Medical Center.
Heyne said suspect is Latino and that the shooting was gang-related, adding that one of the victims told deputies he was a member of the Sureņo gang.
