A man who caused three car accidents in Turlock was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and hit-and-run causing injuries.
At about 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, Isidro Miranda, 47, rear-ended a Toyota Camry on Lander Avenue near Linwood Street, according to Turlock police spokesman Lt. Ron Reid.
In trying to leave the scene, Miranda backed into a Porsche 911 that had stopped behind him. He then fled southbound on Lander and tried to turn right onto West Glenwood at a high rate of speed when he broadsided a Mitsubishi Eclipse that was stopped at a stop sign, Reid said.
Miranda tried to leave the scene, Reid said, but stopped shortly because his airbag had deployed.
Two victims in the first accident complained of back and neck pain. The victim in the third accident had a cut to the left hand and left arm, along with bruises and other pain to the left side.
Miranda was released to the care of a hospital. Charges will be brought at a later date, Reid said.
