Stanislaus County sheriff’s officials on Tuesday were asking the public to help find a Denair woman who has been missing for a week.

Delilha McDaniel, 34, was last seen when she left her home about 9 p.m. on April 14. Her family told sheriff’s officials McDaniel was supposed to walk to a nearby restaurant and make a long distance call on her cell phone. McDaniel told her family she would be back in 20 minutes but she never came back. McDaniel did not take any personal items with her, sheriff’s officials said.

McDaniel stands about 5 feet and 5 inches, weighs about 140 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes and has a tattoo of a cross on her right ankle.

Sheriff’s officials ask anyone with information about McDaniel’s to call community service officer Amie Siville at 525-7076. Callers can also leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at 521-4636. Tipsters can also e-mail tips at CrimeStoppers, or text them to CRIMES (274637) by typing “Tip704” plus the message and be eligible for a cash reward.
