Stanislaus County's unemployment rose in October to 11.8 percent, according to state Employment Development Department data released today.
The county's unemployment rate had been at 10.5 percent in August and September.
California's unemployment rate increased to 8.2 percent in October from 7.7 percent the previous month. About 26,400 nonfarm jobs were cut in California.
Other San Joaquin Valley counties are seeing to same trend.
San Joaquin County's unemployment rate rose from 10.2 percent to 11.1 percent. And Merced County's rose from 10.9 percent to 11.7 percent.
