Stanislaus County Sheriff's deputies found a body in the Delta-Mendota canal near Patterson this afternoon.

The coroner's office sent a deputy to gather information, but did not have an identification on the body.

Sheriff's deputies and the California Highway Patrol have been searching the canal for the body of the seventh and last victim of Tuesday's traffic accident that plunged two vehicles into the canal. A sport utility vehicle struck a septic truck Tuesday on Needham Road at the canal, near the town of Westley. Officials had recovered the bodies of five of the six migrant workers who were in the SUV, as well as the truck driver.

The seventh victim, believed to be Lucas Martinez, 21, of Lodi, remained missing.
