Chuck Cozzitorto of Hilmar has qualified for the 2010 World Livestock Auctioneer Championship, to be held June 17-19 in Oklahoma City. He was among the top eight scorers at a regional event in Billings, Mont., last month. The competition tests professional auctioneers on the clarity of their chant, their ability to spot bidders and other skills needed to conduct a livestock sale. The event has been put on for 47 years by the Livestock Marketing Association, based in Kansas City, Mo.
