Lawyers suing Stanislaus County are vilifying a deputy sheriff slain in a 2012 ambush in Modesto, say county attorneys, while a court order reveals that the deputy, Bob Paris, had been investigated shortly before his death.
Family and friends honor the memory of late Modesto High graduate Ryan Dickerson by restoring the landscaping around a downtown Modesto fountain. Volunteers and businesses chipped in to clear, irrigate and replant the triangle of land at 19th, H and Burney streets. The landscaping around the fountain had been Dickerson’s Eagle Scout project in 2003.
