Stanislaus jails pick on inmates of only one race, lawsuit says

Latino inmates disproportionately face being locked in maximum security, says a lawsuit against the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department, whose deputies guard jails. The lockups also deprive inmates of outdoor exercise and sensory stimulation and expose them to unnecessary violence at the hands of guards, the lawsuit says.
