For an estimated 60,000 undocumented immigrants living in Stanislaus and Merced counties, these are perilous times as immigration enforcement ramps up nationwide. Even citizens are wary, with hundreds lining up at government offices to get or renew passports.

Perfection: Enochs’ Coscia, 39-0, wins state title

Enochs junior Rory Coscia completed a 39-0 season by winning the 116-pound title at the seventh CIF State Girls Wrestling Championships on Saturday night in Visalia. Coscia scored a takedown in overtime to defeat formerly unbeaten and top-seeded Nguyet Tran of James Logan 6-4 for the title.
