The Modesto Junior College Pirates must defeat Laney tonight if they wish to annex a third straight Golden Gate Conference football title. Game time is 7 o'clock in Oakland.

Laney (3-0, 6-2), the GGC's lone unbeaten team, can claim no worse than a tie for the league championship by winning tonight. Meanwhile, the Pirates (2-1, 5-3) must beat both the Eagles and Merced next week.

MJC also needs a sixth win to be eligible for its own Graffiti Bowl.
