MJC women drop close soccer game

The Big 8 Conference standings were shaken Tuesday after the Modesto JC women's soccer team lost to visiting Sierra 1-0.

Five teams are within five points of claiming the conference title with three games remaining.

Modesto (12-6-1, 7-4-1 Big 8) closes with three road games, starting with Santa Rosa (10-5-1, 7-3-1 Big 8) on Friday at 3 p.m.
