Modesto

ASSOCIATION MEETING

TRAINING

Where: Modesto Police Department, 600 10th St.

Info: The Modesto Police Department is offering landlord and property management training as part of the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program. It is open to rental property owners, managers and staff. SOCIAL GROUP MEETING

COIN SHOW

When: July 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and July 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m

Info: The Stanislaus County Coin Club will present the 2009 Modesto Coin, Stamp & Collectibles Expo. The two-day expo will feature many professional dealers offering coins, currency, stamps and exonumia from the United States and foreign countries. Info: Modesto Blue Star Mothers & Families and the American Red Cross Stanislaus County Chapter are holding a Soldier's Family Survival Workshop to help prepare family members for deployment, homecoming and post-deployment. The workshop is for adult military family members. The free workshop will include materials, guest speakers, and military and veteran support service providers. Lunch is included. FAIR TOURS

When: July 23, 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Merced County Fairgrounds, 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Way

Info: The Merced County Fair is offering behind-the-scenes tours for children's groups around the area. Reservations are recommended. The one-hour tours are guided by Junior Fair Board members and offered before the fairgrounds opens to the public. Tours will include a stop at Old MacDonald's Farm and other exhibit buildings.
