Election letters
President Barack Obama promised in his campaign to prevent us from the cliff. Now he's blaming the Republicans for stalling budget talks. He knew they wouldn't budge, but he wasn't counting on that. Obama doesn't want a settlement. He wants us to fall over that cliff.
The Bee proposes that Darrell Steinberg and the Legislature rewrite the initiative process! This is tantamount to allowing death row inmates to pick the day, time and year of their execution.
How about all these letters from progressive-minded folks? They believe every word that President Barack Obama utters. They'd vote for him no matter what.
