RUBAL SANGHA
Los Banos receiver-cornerback
It was easy to spot Rubal Sangha in the Tigers' 35-14 rout of Fresno -- he was the guy who was always near ball. The 6-foot, 175-pounder caught six passes for 122 yards, including three for touchdowns, and plucked two interceptions out of the air in Los Banos' opener.
"Our passing game is a major part of our offense," said coach Dennis Stubbs, whose club went 5-5 and finished third in the Central California Conference a year ago. "We like to be balanced and make teams defend the whole field. We have a lot of good receivers (and) that will help when teams try to take away."
Sangha caught a 61-yard scoring pass to open the scoring for the Tigers, then he had TD catches of 18 and 21 yards to help Los Banos to a 28-0 halftime lead.
"Rubal's game has changed a lot from last year. He now plays a leadership role, he is a lot stronger and faster, and he is much more physical," Stubbs said.
