Most Wanted: Murder

NAME: Maurilio Vasquez

CHARGE: Murder

DESCRIPTION: 22 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, tattoo on left upper shoulder of a cross with a rosary and praying hands

THE CASE: Modesto police believe Vasquez rode up on a bicycle and fired a handgun at least 10 times at two men who were walking in Modesto's airport neighborhood about 2:30 a.m. on April 29.

NOTES: The gunfire killed Clarence "Buddy" Mason, who was walking with his dog, and injured a 29-year-old man walking with them. Police said neither victim was involved with gangs, but Vasquez is a gang member.
