Killing suspect hunted in Southern Oregon

The Associated PressJuly 16, 2014

— A suspect in a Southern Oregon killing has given law enforcement officers the slip on a motorcycle during a manhunt in the forests near the California border.

The State Police said Wednesday officers are chasing 44-year-old Daniel Joseph Martinson near a snow park in southeast Josephine County.

Officers from both states and federal agencies are involved.

Martinson is wanted in the killing of 39-year-old Aaron Lee Clouser of Cave Junction. Clouser's body was found in a street. Authorities haven't said how he died.

Authorities said Martinson is considered armed, and people shouldn't approach him. He was reported wearing camouflage clothing and riding a black motorcycle with a red tank. He's described as white, 5-foot-6 and 155 pounds, with a shaved head and a missing front tooth.
