Audubon, Sierra Club award scholarships

Brent Humeston of Gregori High School in Modesto won the $500 Bob Corey/Paul Illick Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by Stanislaus Audubon Society. His award-winning project was monitoring water quality along Dry Creek. He will attend the University of California, Berkeley, this fall as an environmental engineering major.

Hannah Kellogg of Waterford High School won the $500 Donna Durham Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by Yokuts Group of the Sierra Club. Her award-winning project was working on community farming in Waterford. She will attend California State University, Stanislaus, this fall.
