Frank Burke: Rape on campus a serious issue

July 6, 2014

Commendations on publishing the article “UC, CSU lag in sex-assault training, audit says” (Page B5, June 25) about a little-discussed topic: sexual attacks on college women. In one survey of 208 women, 22 percent said they did not know where they could go for help if they, or someone they knew, experienced sexual harassment or attack. The state audit report looked at the way public universities are trained to handle complaints of sexual violence and are working to strengthen the training.

The article did not list punishment, but jail is the proper place for these predators. Let them find out about rape there.
