Michael Caine: Many people get public assistance

If you take a mortgage deduction on your income taxes, you almost certainly receive more government subsidies, or public assistance, than a mother on welfare. And unlike the mother on welfare, your assistance has no time limit. Why are we cutting public assistance to the poor and not the non-poor?
