Girl, 3, suffers moderate injuries when hit by car

A 3-year-old girl in a stroller suffered moderate injuries Friday afternoon when hit by a car while crossing Crows Landing Road with her mother, according to emergency personnel at the scene. The accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. near School Avenue, where Shackelford Elementary is located. The mother was not hit. As a precautionary measure, the child was airlifted, reportedly to a San Jose hospital.
