What: FERAL CAT SPAY AND NEUTER

When: Wednesday and June 30, by appointment

Where: 201 Maze Blvd.

Info: The Cat Network of Stanislaus will sponsor spay and neuter for feral and stray cats. Cost is $20 for a feral cat, and some subsidized services for pet cats will be offered, too. YESTERYEARS

100 YEARS AGO: It was announced that the expected open date for the new Modesto Theater would be June 27. The only reason for the delay was that the shipment of the theater’s chairs had just barely made it west of Chicago. The proposed opening act was to be a vaudeville program.
