Fire scorches 200 acres near Woodward Reservoir

A vegetation fire north of Woodward Reservoir scorched more than 200 acres Tuesday. The fire started about 2 p.m. near Eastman and 28 Mile roads. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection battled the blaze for several hours before bringing it under control with 247 acres burned. Information on the cause of the fire was unavailable Tuesday evening.
