Susan Wong: Missing IRS emails merit ink

June 16, 2014

Recently we learned from new-media sources that the IRS has lost two years’ worth of emails from Lois Lerner to outside agencies and people.

In the Watergate scandal, 18 minutes of tape were erased. The stunning difference is that old media (The New York Times, The Modesto Bee, etc.) make no mention of the IRS news.

The IRS won’t tolerate people losing their information. This is worse than Watergate.

It is an incredible story, because to lose two years of specific emails on a computer is very hard to do.

If the current administration were Republicans, how very different these “situations” would be treated. In fact, the lack of honest journalism is helping them along.
