James Garcia: Common Core attacks Judeo-Christian values

May 24, 2014

Common Core (“Common Core a major risk; it should be abandoned,” Page A13, May 16) does promote critical thinking with applied knowledge, but without absolutes. That is the devil in the details. Without absolutes, it becomes a way of thinking that we, as a society, can act or behave in any way that seems right in our own eyes. Gone are Judeo-Christian values, and they’re replaced with a worldly anti-God universalism theology.
