Info: The Great Valley Museum is holding six weeks of science and nature-oriented classes for children ages 4 to 12. The classes cover a wide variety of topics ranging from animal adventures and science experimentation to microscopic exploration. Each class is offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. as a two-day series: Tuesday and Wednesday for ages 4 to 7; Thursday and Friday for ages 8 to 12. The cost of each class series is $40 for museum members and $45 for nonmembers, and registration is underway. Preregistration is required. Info: Bring your well-behaved pets (any species – large, small, unusual), on leashes or leads or in carriers, to the fourth annual Pet Blessing. Each pet will be given a personalized blessing by the Rev. Janet Russell, and its owner will receive a commemorative certificate. Blessing will be followed by Yappy Hour, a time for treats. 100 YEARS AGO: It was announced that at a meeting held by the Oakdale Almond Growers Association at the Oakdale Creamery, the group, lead by chair C.C. Turner, voted to market their crop together. They also decided that one warehouse would be used, but not built by the group, rather leased from another party.
