Students may select from other Allied Health Department career-preparatory programs after HHA, such as certified medical assisting, respiratory care and associate’s degree registered nursing. The 7.5-day class requires students to have a valid nurse assistant certification. There is a mandatory orientation from 4 to 6 p.m. May 29 at Glacier Hall 101 on the west campus, 2201 Blue Gum Ave. The class begins June 17. The HHA certification class covers orientation to home health care, personal care of clients including medical and social needs, nutrition, safety and cleanliness in the home.
