After summer paid an early visit to the Northern San Joaquin Valley last week, this week will see the return of spring, with lower temperatures and a slight chance of rain.
National Weather Service forecasters predict a high of 74 degrees Monday, a drop of roughly 20 degrees from the end of the last work week, and a bit cooler than the weekend. The slight chance of rain comes Tuesday, with forecasters putting the odds at 20 percent.
Lows will drop into the 50s at night, with breezy conditions though Tuesday. Gusts could hit 21 mph, forecasters say.,
Temperatures will rise through the week, but the shift is expected to be gradual compared with last week. Highs will remain in the 70s until Friday, when it’s expected to reach 81 degrees.
The weekend looks a bit warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
