Hot dogs and hot kids at Nuts game

April 30, 2014

An after-school program brought students to John Thurman Field on Wednesday afternoon to watch the Modesto Nuts take on the San Jose Giants. The scoreboard said it was 95 degrees during the game, though the Modesto Irrigation District, which is a National Weather Service station, recorded a high temperature of 91. Either way, it was hot, hot, hot. The Giants were hot, too, defeating the Nuts 9-5. For more on the weather forecast, go to www.modbee.com/weather.
