Finally, after over a week, The Bee mentioned the disaster in Nevada over Cliven Bundy and his cattle grazing on public lands. He has not paid his grazing fees and he has lost his case in court multiple times. He is in the wrong and probably should go to jail.
However, once again the administration is even further in the wrong. A political crony of Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., was appointed as the chief of the Bureau of Land Management, the agency controlling the federal land (on which) Bundys cattle were grazing. In the model of Ruby Ridge, Kent State, Fast and Furious and Lois Lerners IRS offensive on Republican political action committees, they overreacted. Federal law enforcement showed up with weapons only available to the military, rounded up Bundys cattle with a plan to sell them to cover Bundys grazing fees.
Both Nevada and Utah governors would not allow the cattle to be moved or sold. The feds killed many animals, destroyed much of Bundys small ranch equipment acting more like outlaws themselves. They were met by a growing number of armed patriots who backed Bundy. I saw a fellow Vietnam veteran there prepared to fight the feds, who are in the wrong. This is why we have a Constitution and the Second Amendment. The federal government was wrong. I did not serve 27 years with two tours in Vietnam to back government action like this. I am prepared to get my rifle out and head to Nevada to stop them.
