6 WEEK FUTURE STARS SKILLS CAMP May 28-July 3, 9 a.m.-noon, M-F. Grades 4-9, ages 9-14. At Johansen High. Camp is six weeks. We will develop ballhandling, shooting, rebounding, post play, passing, defending and footwork. Cost is $60 per player per week or $300 for all six weeks. MJC SPRING COACHES CLINIC Modesto Junior College head football coach Sam Young and his staff will be holding their annual coaches clinic on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Offensive and defensive tactics and strategies will be taught. THREE MJC SUMMER CAMPS The Modesto Junior College football program will hold fundamental camps this summer at the school. The “Hitman” camp for linebackers and defensive backs is June 30-July 1, from 6-8 p.m. The “Trench Warrior” camp for offensive and defensive linemen is July 7-8, from 6-8 p.m. Both camps are $40 and pre-enrolled campers will receive a free T-shirt. The three-day camp for quarterbacks and wide receivers is June 5-7 and costs $125. RIPON CAMP The 2014 Faith & Football camp, which benefits St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, will be held at Ripon High on May 3-4. The two-day, non-contact camp offers children entering second grade through eighth grade speed, agility and performance training. It also emphasizes faith, character, leadership and work ethic. ELITE YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP Freeman Consulting Presents the 2nd Annual Elite Youth Football Camp, June 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Modesto Junior College football field. Cost is $75 before June 1, after is $100, with check-in at 8:15 a.m. The camp will focus on positive sportsmanship and training. 2014 FAITH & FOOTBALL CAMP This is a non-contact football camp. The camp will be held on May 3 and 4 in Ripon. It is open to students entering 2nd through 8th grades. All proceeds from the camp will go to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. The non-contact camp will provide position specific training on offensive and defensive. Attendees will be taught speed, agility and performance training. Other topics will include faith, character, leadership, and work ethic as it relates to becoming a better player. The cost is a $80 donation, check written directly to St. Judes. Lunch both days and camp t-shirt are provided with registration. HUGHSON SOCCER LEAGUE Hughson United Soccer League 2014 Fall League registration May 3 from 9 a.m.-noon, May 14 from 5-8 p.m. and May 31 from 9 a.m.-noon. Registration will be at Veranda Market at 7144 Hughson Ave. Get a price break through early registration before May 3: $50 for first child, $45 for second sibling, $40 for third and all additional siblings in a family. Uniforms are included in the cost – shorts, shirt, and socks. Late registration fees increase $10 per child after May 31.
