Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics activated pitcher Ryan Cook from the 15-day disabled list and optioned pitcher Evan Scribner to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.

Cook was placed on the DL retroactive to March 21 with right shoulder tendinitis. He had a two-game rehab assignment with Single-A Stockton on Thursday and Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits with two walks in 1 2/3 innings. Cook did not appear in a major league game this spring.

In 71 relief appearances in 2013 with the A's, the right-hander went 6-4 with a 2.54 ERA. He struck out 64 and walked 25 in 67 1/3 innings

Scribner, also a right-hander, was on Oakland's Opening Day roster and did not allow a base runner in two appearances, retiring all four batters he faced in 1 1/3 innings.
