TURLOCK YOUTH TOURNAMENTS North American Youth Sports will hold basketball tournaments for boys and girls teams in age groups ranging from fourth grade through high school on April 26-27 at Turlock High and May 16-18 at Modesto Junior College. Entry fee is $130 and guarantees at least two games. There are awards for each bracket. Deadline for the April tournament is Friday. Deadline for the May tournament is April 25. 3-ON-3 TOURNAMENT April 19-20 at Enochs High School in Modesto to benefit Enochs’ Instrumental Music and Color Guard Program. There will be divisions from junior high school, adults, men and women. There will be a slam dunk contest and a three-point shootout. There will be divisions for all ages from junior high school to adults, men and women. Cost is $125 per team. BAD TO THE BONZ Bad to the Bonz Boxing Gym is having tryouts for its spring boxing program as well as providing adult and youth classes. There also are clinics for coaches that will be given by professional coach Tony Avila, former coach of the Modesto PAL boxing club and now owner of Bad to the Bonz Boxing Gym. The spring special for youth is $175 for two months. The gym encourages parents to work out for free alongside their children. The gym also offers kickboxing training by coach Gene Fields of Team Voodoo. Free classes on Saturdays 10 a.m.-noon. THREE MJC CAMPS The Modesto Junior College football program will be holding fundamental camps this summer at the school. The “Hitman” camp for linebackers and defensive backs is June 30-July 1, from 6-8 p.m. The “Trench Warrior” camp for offensive and defensive linemen is July 7-8, from 6-8 p.m. Both camps are $40 and pre-enrolled campers will receive a free T-shirt. The three-day camp for quarterbacks and wide receivers is June 5-7 and costs $125.
