Cornwell Field to be dedicated at Beyer today (3-20-14)

March 19, 2014

Beyer High School will rename its baseball facility “Cornwell Field” in a brief ceremony before today’s Modesto Metro Conference game, in honor of former coach Paul Cornwell. In 31 seasons as the Patriots coach, Cornwell won more than 500 games, seven Central California Conference titles and three Sac-Joaquin Sub-Section crowns. The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. and a reception will follow at Marie Callender’s Restaurant & Bakery, 3500 Coffee Road. The MMC game between Gregori and Beyer will start at about 3:45 p.m.
