Joseph Ferreira: Also note those who do nothing

March 19, 2014

Regarding “Make note of senators who sided with radical” (March 11, Page A10): As I remember, the Philadelphia Police Department was accused of rampant corruption in the early 1980s when Mumia Abu-Jamal was convicted of murdering a Philadelphia police officer.

Obviously the appeals court also remembered that. I remember how senators and congressmen voted last year to shut down the government. That brings to my mind a simple statement about today’s do-nothing Congress – “feeding off the public trough and denying the public what they need.”
