Melinda Tripp: Properly cooked chicken won’t sicken

March 10, 2014

Regarding the article “Foster Farms, Costco sued” (Page B1, March 7): I wish you had added that the chicken, if cooked thoroughly, would never cause sickness. Why is that fact always missing from these stories?

The Modesto Bee ran an ad looking for people who wanted to sue Foster Farms due to salmonella. Were they just fishing for someone to come forward? How many people will want to jump on this easy-money bandwagon and, still, no one says, just cook your chicken!

Please do a follow-up article pursuant to the ambulance chasers involved!
