Regarding Groundwater advisory panel is off to a good start (Opinions, Feb. 27.) Most of your Op-Ed piece was factual. However, the way in which words are positioned in a sentence can lead to a wrong perception, and unfortunately The Bee does this more often than not.
In your piece you state, When a person in the audience wondered if groundwater priorities had to include fish, then you insert apparently a proxy for environmental issues, Greens immediate response was Absolutely.
This leads people to believe that the environmental side of the equation is unimportant. This is so incorrect. The question was asked, if the farmers have to suffer with water restrictions, do the restrictions also apply to the fish? And yes, Green replied, Absolutely.
Please, in the future, try to be more accurate. This is a contentious issue and we do not need The Bee to create issues when there are no reasons to do so.
