Seven people were arrested on suspicion of auto theft in Stanislaus County from Feb. 20 through Wednesday.


Suspect: Frank Barragan, 24, Modesto

Date arrested: Feb. 20

Arresting Agency: Modesto Police Department

Charges: Auto theft, evading police officers with disregard to safety, attempting to receive stolen property, hit-and-run, delaying or obstructing officer in performance of duty


Suspect: Johnathon Sutherland, 22, Waterford

Date arrested: Feb. 20

Arresting Agency: MPD

Charges: Auto theft, rearrest or revocation of probation


Suspect: Joseph Peres, 18, Modesto

Date arrested: Tuesday

Arresting Agency: Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force

Charges: Auto theft, theft or extortion involving motor vehicle


Suspect: Carina Leyva, 22, Modesto

Date arrested: Tuesday

Arresting Agency: Newman Police Department

Charges: Auto theft, driving with suspended or revoked license


Suspect: Christina Rogers, 25, Modesto

Date arrested: Wednesday

Arresting Agency: Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department

Charges: Auto theft, theft or extortion involving motor vehicle


Suspect: Sean Zunino, 43, Crows Landing

Date arrested: Wednesday

Arresting Agency: Sheriff’s Department

Charges: Auto theft, inflicting corporal injury on spouse, violation of parole


Suspect: Jose Ruiz, 30, Hughson

Date arrested: Wednesday

Arresting Agency: MPD

Charges: Auto theft, possession of narcotic controlled substance, possession of burglary tools
