Info: The Modesto Junior College National Alliance on Mental Illness Club is offering a free screening of the film “Of Two Minds.” The award-winning, dramatic documentary follows the journey of three individuals living with bipolar disorder and shows the impact this illness has on their lives. The event is open to the public. A discussion featuring a panel of individuals who have experienced mental illness themselves or lived with someone who was mentally ill will follow the film presentation. Info: Ceres High School is holding its first “Farm to Factory Tour,” featuring things the FFA and manufacturing students are accomplishing. Info: Service clubs, government and professional offices and other interested groups are invited to submit entries for Tuolumne County’s 2014 Trivia Bee. This year’s theme is “Roll Out the Red Carpet for Reading.” Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite award-winning movie star. 100 YEARS AGO: Neither Turlock schools nor Modesto schools close in honor of Washington’s birthday. Turlock schools had been closed too many days in the previous months due to outbreaks of scarlet fever, measles and whooping cough.
