Pat Corona: ‘Blather’ was in the editorial

February 18, 2014

Regarding “Turlock’s Tin Cup still alive” (Our Views, Feb. 15.): Modesto Bee editors please get your terminology straight. You state that “contractors are famously (or infamously, if you prefer) generous” in supporting candidates they believe will vote their way. I think you were actually referring to land developers. Land developers and building contractors are not synonymous terms.

You go on to state that “there was some blather about a violation of free speech ...” The blather in this editorial was stunning. Where were the facts to back up your position? Please start signing your editorials. Too bad Judy Sly retired. I miss her well-written editorials.
