Skiers and snowboarders are thrilled

MODESTO BEE

It was blue sky, white powder and comfortable temperatures as skiers and snowboarders flocked to Dodge Ridge on Thursday, its second day open in a season that started very late. The resort’s website said it had 32 groomers working Thursday, and “great upper mountain intermediate to advanced skiing.” The National Weather Service forecast for the Pinecrest area is partly sunny with a high of 64 today, likely showers and a high of 60 Saturday, possibly becoming snow at night, then a high of 52 with a chance of rain or snow Sunday.

Modesto Bee is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
