Turlock police on Thursday arrested two men suspected of committing an armed robbery at a minimart.
The robbery occurred Wednesday at about 10:45 p.m. at the Stop N Shop Market in the 1500 block of Lander Avenue.
Officer Mayra Lewis said two men entered the store, and one pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanding money and cigarettes. They fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Officers reviewed surveillance video of the robbery and identified one of the suspects as Jorge David Cardenas, 33.
Cardenas was located and apprehended Thursday while leaving a home on Angelus Street with two other men. The other men were detained and one of them, a 17-year-old, was determined to Cardenas accomplice, Lewis said.
The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery, and Cardenas was arrested on suspicion of robbery, using a firearm during the commission of robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A handgun matching the description of the one allegedly used by Cardenas during the robbery was located in front the home on Angelus Street.
