Ed Arnold: History provides context, comparison for Obama's executive orders

Those concerned with President Obama’s issuance of executive orders might find it enlightening to review some of the more extreme actions taken by past presidents. One example: In 1861, President Lincoln, to the dismay of many in the legislative and judicial branches, revoked the writ of habeas corpus. Historical perspective is a valuable tool for the informed citizen.
