Info: The Latino Community Roundtable monthly meeting featuring guest speakers Roy Wasden, Turlock city manager; and Carolina Alfaro, director of the EAP Program at California State University, Stanislaus. Wasden will speak on the change of Turlock elections from at-large to district elections, and Alfaro will give a presentation of the Early Assessment Program for college readiness. Info: The Society of Handicapped Children and Adults is in need of clothes for its Endless Possibilities Thrift Stores. 100 YEARS AGO: Riverbank gets gas for cooking and heating purposes after the board of supervisors accepts the application of the Oakdale Gas Co. to build gas mains to Riverbank and supply branch pipes within the town.
