Garrison School 2nd graders were busy Thursday afternoon (02-06-14) performing a selection of song and poems on the topic of Dr Martin Luther King Jr., peace, and the civil rights movement of the 1950's and 60's. In this photo second grader Joshua Bun peers through a prop made to resemble a mirror while he and other students sang and danced to the song "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson. A second performance will take place today Friday February 7th at 10:00AM.

MODESTO — Youngsters at Garrison Elementary School showed off their artistic talents Thursday afternoon with a performance of songs and poems in honor of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
The second-graders event also focused on efforts to achieve peace and the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 60s. Students also used a prop made to resemble a mirror while singing and dancing to the song Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson. A second performance will take place today at 10 a.m.
