Turlock — Photographs released as part of an investigation into a bank robbery Wednesday turned out to be a different person. Turlock police on Thursday released updated photos showing the suspect.
After a man robbed the Citibank on Geer Road Wednesday, the bank provided investigators with surveillance photos. As part of the investigation copies of the photos were immediately distributed to the public and to other law enforcement agencies in hopes of quickly identifying the suspect. officer Mayra Lewis said in a news release. As the investigation progressed and through tips, investigators learned that the person pictured in the photos is not the subject involved in the robbery.
On Thursday, police released new photos of the man investigators say robbed the bank, getting away with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as 6 feet tall, medium build and has a thick beard that appeared to be fake. The suspect fled the bank and was seen getting in a silver sedan.
