Sochi, Russia (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeremy Abbott and the pairs team of Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir will lead the United States in the new team figure skating event at the 2014 Olympics.
In the new competition, each team will consist of one woman, one man, one pairs team and one ice dance team. Each nation will be allowed to make up to two exchanges after the short program/dance.
The event starts Thursday night with the short program for the pairs and men.
U.S. Figure Skating said it would announce the women's and ice dance participants on Friday.
