Ceres Police looking for witnesses to fatal pedestrian traffic accident

Ceres police are looking for witnesses to a traffic collision over the weekend that left a pedestrian dead.

A 32-year-old man who was walking in the 3900 block of Mitchell Road was struck by a vehicle heading south at about 4:30 a.m., said officer Jason Coley.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene, was cooperative and was not arrested. The pedestrian, Felix Garcia, was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died.

Police did not release the name of the driver.
