Thrift store cares for its customers

It is refreshing to see a store that actually cares about people and not just the almighty buck and also supports what it claims to support. In Modesto, on McHenry avenue, the Good Samaritan Thrift Store is such a store. Religiously based, it offers something for everyone. Meticulously run by the manager Mike and his staff, they support the church and give to the homeless.

I have witnessed firsthand Mike reaching into his own pocket to make up the difference for an item someone could not afford. They have fed the homeless and clothed them, among other things. This is one charity where I have seen the money I’ve spent actually benefit others less fortunate. If you have money to spend, why not put it to good use. I am warmly greeted every time I step in the store and will continue to go. Thank you, Good Samaritan, for being just that.
