100 YEARS AGO: Modestos downtown theater is being rebuilt after a fire destroyed it the month prior. Owner W.R. Mensinger promises the new playhouse will be better than it was before, down to the decorations. Matching the theatres construction will be a new Park theater building on Eleventh Street.
