What: DEMOCRACTIC WOMEN’S CLUB MEETING

Info: The Democratic Women’s Club of Stanislaus County is holding a general meeting featuring a meet and greet with state Assembly District 12 candidate Harinder Grewal and John Kessler, representative from secretary of state candidate Leland Yee. Presentations by San Joaquin River Valley promoting travel and tourism, and Virginia Madueño on ACEforward, enhancing economic development.

What: SCRAPBOOKING PROGRAM

When: Saturday, 12:30 p.m.

Where: Stanislaus County Library, 1500 I St.

Info: Families are invited to attend a free scrapbooking program presented by local scrapbooker Anna Soto, who will discuss the art of scrapbooking. What: LOVE OUR NEIGHBORHOODS FORUM

Sonora

What: WEDNESDAY BOOK NOOK SALE

When: Wednesdays in February, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Sonora Library, 480 Greenley Road

Info: The Book Nook, the used bookstore in the Sonora Library is having special sales every Wednesday in February. Wednesday will feature music CDs half off, followed by children’s books, Feb. 12, craft and hobby books Feb. 19, and miscellaneous non-fiction books will finish out the month on Feb. 26.
